Ball Mill And Air Classifier Production Line

Advanced integrated crushing and classification equipment dedicated to calcium carbonate
The automatic ball milling and classification production line dedicated to calcium carbonate is an advanced integrated crushing and classification equipment developed specifically for the characteristics of calcium carbonate ore powder. Adopting a closed-circuit circulation system design, this production line boasts core advantages such as low energy consumption, high output, stable and efficient operation, mature and reliable technology, and precise control over the particle size of finished products. Its complete technological process includes key links such as two-stage crushing, fine grinding, precise classification, finished product packaging, silo storage, material conveying and vertical lifting. Multiple classifiers can be connected in parallel or in series at the rear end of the ball mill to realize the simultaneous production of calcium carbonate products with various particle size specifications.

How it works

After undergoing coarse crushing, the calcium carbonate material is fed into the ball mill via a quantitative feeding device. During the operation of the ball mill, the internal grinding media gain kinetic energy accordingly and carry out repeated impact and grinding on the material. The crushed material enters the suction tank from the tail of the ball mill and is conveyed to the classifier for particle size classification under the action of negative pressure adsorption. The calcium carbonate fine powder that meets the particle size requirements is collected and packaged by a cyclone collector or dust collector; the unqualified coarse particles are discharged from the lower end of the classifier and returned to the ball mill through the feeding device for secondary crushing and processing.

Performance and features

A more scientific length-diameter ratio

Scientifically optimize the aspect ratio parameters of the equipment, effectively inhibit the occurrence of material over-grinding, ensure the grinding process is accurate and controllable, and at the same time improve the uniformity of material grinding and the quality of finished products, so as to achieve a more ideal grinding effect.

Upgraded jaw plates and media

Optimize the opening rate and opening structure design of the jaw plates, match them with smaller-specification grinding media, increase the contact area between materials and grinding media, strengthen the grinding force, significantly improve the grinding fineness of finished products, and meet the requirements of ultra-fine processing.

Reduce Retention, No Cooling Required
Adopting the plate-type mill tail discharge method, the material discharge path is smooth, completely eliminating the problem of material retention during the grinding process; at the same time, this design does not require additional cooling treatment for the cylinder, simplifying the equipment structure and operation process.
Precise Addition of Grinding Aids

For ultra-fine powder grinding scenarios, grinding aids are added precisely. By reducing material grinding resistance and decreasing particle agglomeration, grinding efficiency is effectively improved, the processing cycle of ultra-fine powder is shortened, and the unit energy consumption is reduced.

Precise Spraying of Grinding Aids

Equipped with high-precision metering pumps, grinding aids can be uniformly sprayed into the mill at precise time intervals and doses according to the preset product fineness standards, stably improving grinding efficiency and finished product fineness.

Closed-Loop Design, Dust-Free Operation

It forms a complete closed-loop system together with the classifier, adopting negative pressure conveying technology. Materials complete the entire process of grinding, classification and conveying in a sealed environment without dust leakage, achieving green and dust-free operation and meeting the environmental protection production standards.

Precise Quantitative Feeding

The ball mill is equipped with a precise quantitative feeding system. Through an intelligent control mechanism, it can maintain a stable feeding rate even when the material density fluctuates, avoiding the impact of uneven feeding on grinding efficiency and finished product quality.

Coordinated Matching of Classifiers

The classifier and the discharge section of the ball mill form an interlocking control logic, achieving coordinated matching of feeding, discharging and classification, which not only ensures the stable operation of the entire system but also enables precise control of product particle size.

Precise Regulation of Airflow Velocity

Equipped with a professional airflow measurement system, the damping valve can monitor and precisely regulate the airflow velocity in real time. By optimizing airflow parameters, it ensures the stability of the classification process, thereby improving classification efficiency and accuracy.

Ring Roller Mill Ultra-Fine Grinding Process

The ultra-fine grinding process of calcium carbonate by ring roller mill adopts an exclusive "multi-roller small-diameter" design. With precisely controlled fit clearance between the ring rollers and grinding rings, it can process calcium carbonate powder to an ultra-fine precision of up to 2500 mesh (about 5 microns). This process features lower energy consumption than traditional equipment and a low proportion of over-ground powder in the finished product, which ensures uniform particle size distribution and lower oil absorption value of calcium carbonate powder. It is suitable for processing calcium carbonate materials with a Mohs hardness below grade 5 and moderate fineness requirements.

Raymond Mill Ultra-Fine Grinding Process

In the calcium carbonate industry, the Raymond mill is one of the earliest and most widely used grinding equipment in the world. Its conventionally processed calcium carbonate powder has relatively low fineness, which is mainly suitable for the large-scale production of ordinary calcium carbonate powder with a mesh size of over 400. With secondary classification, small batches of products with a mesh size of 500–1250 can be obtained, thus having the capability of large-scale production of coarse powder and small-batch production of fine powder.
